It is our pleasure to inform you of the European launch of Resonance, The Electromagnetic Bodies Project, Project co-curated by Nina Czegledy and Louise Provencher on July 27, 2005 at ZKM, Center for Art and Media, Karlsruhe, Germany. Resonance is on show between July 28 to October 9, 2005. Resonance, The Electromagnetic Bodies Project, explores the nature of invisible yet discernible material forces and the impact of these vibrating energies on our environment and the human body. Resonance is an invitation for artists to create works in response to Nikola Tesla's pioneering concepts. Tesla's innovations were based on the principles of vibration and resonance in the fields of electricity and electromagnetism. Canadian participating Artists: �lab, Marie-Jeanne Musiol, Paulette Phillips, Catherine Richards, Norman White, David Tomas, Jean-Pierre Aube and Jocelyn Robert. It is a modular project is co-curated at ZKM with Peter Weibel and Sabine Himmelsbach. Confirmed international participants include Woody Vasulka, Carl Michael von Hausswolff, Kristin Lucas, Jenny Marketou, Christina Kubisch and, from the ZKM videocollection, Nam June Paik and Gary Hill. Touring schedule : January 26 - April 2, 2006 : The Centro Cultural Conde Duque Medialab, Madrid, Spain April - May 2006 V2_Institute for the Unstable Media and TENT, Rotterdam, Netherlands June 15 - July 30, 2006: Ludwig Museum, Budapest, Hungary September 20 - October 15, 2006: Maison europeenne de la photographie/ Festival @rt Outsiders, Paris, France. The Resonance tour has been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, The Department of Foreign Affairs of Canada and Le Conseil des arts et des lettres du Quebec.
