The Subtle Technologies Conference presents a wide range of speakers who provide a global perspective on the exploration of subtle phenomena and its representations. The conference blurs the boundaries between art and science, providing participants with a unique opportunity to explore areas of inquiry that are still in the process of developing definitions, explanations, and meanings.

Conference presentations will explore the latest advances in holographic imaging, the use of eye movement to control specially designed musical instruments, the metaphysics of multimedia, the evolution of concepts of space in mathematics and art, and the possibility of translating the discoveries of the Human Genome Project into light and broadcasting it into space.

Presentations include: Capi Corrales, of the Mathematics Faculty at the Algebra Department of Universidad Complutense de Madrid, speaking on Space as Container to Space as Web in Mathematics and Painting. Paul Royes, past president and CEO of the Interactive Multimedia Arts and Technologies Association (IMAT), Canada's largest multimedia association, presenting on Meta-Media: The Metaphysics of New Media. Demetri Terzopoulos, Professor of Computer Science and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, on Artificial Animals (and Humans): From Physics to Intelligence.
