La bande vidéo comprenant deux prises de vue en rotation l'une autour de l'autre; une prise tournant autour d'un sujet central et l'autre prise par le sujet central, en rotation sur lui-même, montrant l'environnement l'entourant. La bande sonore réfère au style documentaire et renforce l'idée que l'action a été commandée et dirigée. Cette vidéo traite des sujets tels que la famille, les générations et la romance dans un contexte urbain. Par sa facture cinématographique, la bande réfère aussi aux jeux de l'amour montrés au grand écran.
Milutin Gubash détient un Baccalauréat en philosophie et un Baccalauréat en arts visuels (Université de Calgary) et une maîtrise en arts visuels, photographie (Concordia). Il a exposé à travers le Canada (Montréal, Toronto, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Vancouver) et à Helsinki, Finlande. Il prépare deux expositions solo pour 2005, à la Gallery 44 (Toronto) et à Vu (Québec) durant la Manif d'art de Québec ainsi que deux expositions de groupe, à la galerie d'art Mendel (Saskatoon) et à la galerie d'art d'Ottawa. Il vit présentement à Saskatoon où il est responsable du programme de photographie et d'images numériques de l'Université de la Saskatchewan.

Tournez is comprised of two long rotating views, which look at and comment upon each other. One take circles around the central subject; it alternates with a second shot, which is created from the vantage point of the central subject. Each shot tracks the camera and "crew" that is simultaneously creating its image, and describes a surrounding environment that is alternately familiar and remote. The soundtrack is comprised of the incidental sounds from the location, and an impromptu, voiceover narrative created in real time: the off-camera voices of the "crew" provide a running commentary on the directed nature of the scenario, and nonetheless frame the image with a documentary of its construction. The video negotiates with subjects of family, generations, romance and desire.
Milutin Gubash is an artist who currently resides in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. His work has been exhibited in artist run centres throughout Canada (TPW Gallery Toronto, Access Artist Run Centre and Charles H. Scott Gallery Vancouver, VOX and Quartier Ephemere in Montreal, Latitude 53 Edmonton, PAVED Art+New Media Saskatoon). He received an MFA from Concordia University (Montreal) in 2000, and has taught studio at Concordia University (Montreal), the University of Victoria (Victoria), and Simon Fraser University (Vancouver). He is assistant professor and Chair of the Photography and Digital Imaging Program at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon).
