Year01 will send out a 'call for submissions' through
our vast network of new media arts affiliates and publications.
The curators will be responsible for researching works
that utilise data streams and networed art in innovative
ways that suite the theme of T01.

Films about Flying
Short
Films about Flying is a networked installation by Jon
Thomson & Alison Craighead in which an open edition
of unique cinematic works are automatically generated
in the gallery, and in real-time from existing data
found on the world-wide web.
The Line Ahead
Zina Kaye makes visible a cross section of the data
that orbits an airport, drawing connections between
the dispersive & disorientating nature of air travel,
and the quietly invisible chaos of radio traffic.
Celestial
Mechanics
Scott Hessels and Gabriel Dunne's project combines science,
statistical display, and contemporary art by interpreting
the mechanical patterns and behaviors of these systems
as culturally significant poetics.
